Scott Powers

Chief Executive Officer

Scott has years of experience as an industry leader dedicated to transforming health care to be high quality, personalized, and consumer focused. Most recently, Scott led Alignment Healthcare as the nation’s fastest growing and most disruptive Medicare Advantage and chronic disease management company. Prior to Alignment, Scott served as the President of Health Insurance at Cambia Health Solutions, guiding and transforming the four-state Regence Blue Cross & Shield into a disruptive and rapid growth payer. Prior to his experience in the healthcare sector, Scott built a career driving innovation, quality, and performance excellence as a managing partner at Alvarez & Marsal and a senior executive at Intel Corporation.

Scott has served on numerous boards, industry associations, and continues to advise companies who are disrupting and innovating healthcare. He holds both an MBA and BS from W.P. Carey at Arizona State University. Scott has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 30 years, and they have five children and one grandchild.

Timothy Dragelin

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Timothy has provided financial advisory services to companies and stakeholders in various industries for over 25 years, including consulting on restructuring, interim management, creditor advisory, process improvement, forensic investigations, and litigation advisory. He was previously a senior managing director at FTI Consulting. He has also served as interim CEO at Constellation Healthcare Technologies Inc, as well as a director and manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Timothy is a published author and frequent speaker on financial and accounting topics at both regional and national conferences. He has been a guest lecturer at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Timothy holds a B.B.A. in accounting from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. He is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, a certified valuation analyst, and a certified public accountant.

Jeff Bonham

President, Personal Care Services

Jeff brings over 25 years of health care experience, including operational experience in personal care, home health and hospice operations and financial management. He was previously Founding Executive with Advance Healthcare Consulting, LLC, an operational consulting company focused on assisting post-acute care providers and a co-founder of Valor Home Health Care, LLC. He also served in operational and finance positions with Auxi Healthcare, Inc. and Administrator of Home Health Care for Williamson County Programs on Aging in Herrin, IL.

Jeff earned a B.S from Bradley University and holds an MBA from the University of Nevada.

Kathy Poland

Chief Operating Officer

Kathy brings to her role over 21 years of experience in Human Resources. She joined Jordan Health Services in 2002 and served as Senior Vice President of Operations. She previously served as Vice President of Human Resources working closely with the operations team leading a variety of initiatives that had a positive impact on operations, including staffing model design and implementation in addition to structuring and leading an effective integration process that permits the organization to blend newly acquired companies into the fold of operations timely and seamlessly.

Prior to serving at Jordan Health Services, Kathy worked in various human resource positions with Tetra Tech EMI, an environmental consulting firm located in Dallas, Texas. She earned her B.A from Amberton University. 

Dave Marchand

Chief Information Officer

Dave has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, designing and building innovative and transformative solutions for the healthcare, financial services, defense, aerospace, petroleum, travel, and telecommunications industries. Dave joined National Home Health Care in 2017 and previously served as CIO for Jordan Health Services since 2013. Dave initially engaged with Jordan to solidify the company’s security architecture, streamline and integrate various applications, and most recently advance Jordan’s proprietary ADL application and services model.

Prior to joining Jordan, Dave held senior level positions at several companies including President/CEO of Precision Genetics, Chief Information and Technology Officer at Accelion, and Chief Technology and Strategy Officer for Dell/Perot Systems.

Caroline Henderson

Chief Sales Officer

Before joining Elara, Caroline spent the majority of her career at Amedisys, Inc, where she served as Account Executive, Sales Trainer, Area Vice President, Vice President of Business Development and the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. In her most recent role, she was responsible for all sales training, marketing strategy, sales tools, CRM utilization, acquisition integration, and creation of all marketing campaigns and collateral for home health.

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama. She resides with her husband and two children.

Patricia Bradford

Chief of Staff, Chief of Human Capital

Pat is an experienced Human Capital executive with more than 30 years in the profession. She has an excellent track record in Human Capital management in startup environments as well as Fortune 500 organizations. She has led the Human Capital function in several industries, including for naviHealth. She also has proven experience building a Human Resource organization in a high growth company. Her experience allows her to effectively influence the delicate balance of employee and company needs. Pat joined National Home Health in August of 2016.

Pat earned her B.A in Communications from the University of Denver. She has earned professional certifications in HR and Labor Relations.

Christine Weir

Chief Compliance Officer

Christine has over 32 years of healthcare experience, having worked in healthcare compliance, clinical management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. She joined Great Lakes Caring Home and Hospice in 2004, where she served as COO and Vice President of Education. She was responsible for developing, facilitating, and ensuring the delivery of training strategies, auditing and monitoring activities and developing initiatives that enhance adherence to compliance across all functions of the enterprise. Christine is currently active in the Michigan Home Care & Hospice Association (MHHA) as well as a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). She is also a board member for the Professional Advisory of NGS (Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group).

Christine holds a B.A from Spring Arbor University, is a registered nurse and holds certifications in Healthcare Compliance (2012) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (2014).

Cale Bradford

Chief Government Relations Officer

Cale brings over 25 years of experience in home healthcare operations and regulations. His prior experience includes his tenure as the CEO of Pyramid Home Health Services and he has served as both a legislative and gubernatorial appointee to various commissions tasked with evaluating Medicaid delivery and financing models. Cale is also a founding principal of White Oak Capital, LLC and serves on numerous corporate, not-for-profit and governmental boards including ECPHP at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, The Thompson Foundation for Autism, and the Missouri ABLE Program. He joined Elara Caring in 2018 and currently serves as Chief Government Relations Officer.

 

Cale is an alum of Mesa College and resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife of 17 years, Rocio Romero, and their two children.      

Andrew Schwartz

Executive Vice President of Enterprise Development

Andrew brings over 15 years of investment and operating experience to his role at Elara Caring. Andrew is responsible for managing the day to day execution of value creation initiatives across Elara Caring. This includes performance management, data and analytics, operational execution, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions.  He was previously an investment professional at Blue Wolf Capital, a private equity firm that makes transformational investments in middle market companies. At Blue Wolf, Andrew invested in and worked collaboratively with businesses to navigate pivotal inflection points, such as acquisitions, operational transformation, material market changes and distress.

 

Andrew began his career as an investment banker at JP Morgan and Citigroup. Andrew holds a B.A.S.c. in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
